Peninsula United Methodist Church Welcoming Statement

The Peninsula United Methodist Church is a fellowship of Christians who experience and give witness to God’s unconditional love and grace. We believe that all people are worthy of these gifts.

Even as each of us journeys toward personal reconciliation, as a community we embrace with love all human beings as persons of equal sacred worth with no distinctions made for race, age, gender, faith history, sexual orientation, gender identity, or physical and mental ability. We gather to worship and commit ourselves to nurturing one another whoever we are and wherever we come from.

As a Reconciling Congregation, we reach out in love to our community and world, welcoming into the life and ministry of our church all who have been hurt, marginalized or made to feel unwelcome by religious organizations, including lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender persons.

We are earnestly dedicated to living the motto “Open Hearts, Open Minds, Open Doors“.

Reconciling Ministries Network is a growing movement of United Methodist individuals, congregations, campus ministries, and other groups working for the full participation of all people in The United Methodist Church.
